President Paul Kagame is among heads of states, who have attended the African Development Bank summit (AfDB) that kicked off yesterday in Zambia to be concluded on May 27th May, 2016.
President Kagame has attended the summit along with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and President Idriss Debby of Chad among other dignitaries including musician-cum investor, Akon, Kofi Annan the former UN General Secretary and billionaire Ashish Thakkar.
The theme of the summit is related to two goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focused on sustainable energy generation and distribution and adopting climate change mitigation and resilience measures.
The meeting has been officially opened this morning by president of Zambia, Edgar Lungu, being attended by more than 5000 participants working in financial sectors, ministers of finance and trade, international organizations, university lecturers, non governmental organizations among others.
